[Aaron =

She was still toweling her hair lightly as she made her way out of the bathroom, trying to get her hair just dry enough that she wouldn’t feel like she was freezing as she went back to her parents. She couldn’t go home smelling like sweat and sex—as much as she would love to see her father’s reaction to that particular situation, showing up just fucked was not the argument she wanted to have with her father right before she went back to her life in New York. She wanted to get in, get her stuff, and get out in time to catch her train. Wham, bam, thank you ma’am.
Aaron was still asleep, sprawled out on his back under the sheets and she smiled slightly as she watched him, before starting to pick around him for her clothes. He had certainly made this little interlude a vacation to remember, and she was actually kind of grateful for it. She’d never been with a guy like him before. He was a little rough around the edges but that wasn’t such a bad thing. She liked him. She liked him a lot, actually.
She did her best to swallow all the thoughts of maybe away and be realistic. Searching for a fairy tale had never gotten her anywhere, and she knew it. She wasn’t fairy princess material. She was too screwed up, too many issues, and life didn’t have to keep shoving it in her face in order for her to get the message. She also knew that if she was going to get it from anyone, it wasn’t going to be Aaron. Things between them were limited to the superficial, and she knew that better than anyone.
There were moments, though. Moments when he looked at her or held her a certain way, she could see a flash of something more. She’d never been with someone who was as considerate as he was, and for a relationship that was supposed to be all about sex—that wasn’t something she expected. It certainly wasn’t something she had gotten from her fiancé. And most importantly out of everything—he wanted her, in a way that not many people had before. She soaked up that feeling like a crack addict jonesing for her next fix and that was something she certainly didn’t want to lose. But all good things come to an end, and it was time to nip this one on the bud now. Before she got too attached and wound up getting hurt because on some levels, Grace was right. She did get attached too easily. And she really didn’t want to ruin this one while it was still good.
He was still asleep, or at least so she thought, when she was getting ready to pull on her heels—strappy tall stilettos that she would never wear out of the house, but managed to be the last piece of clothing removed from her body after they started round one. She had one shoe on and was struggling with the straps on the second when she felt a large hand close around her wrist and her body was being yanked into his lap.
“You showered,” he murmured in her ear as his lips trailed roughly down her neck, and her eyes closed at the sensation as she tried to remember what she was supposed to be doing again. It took her a minute to re-realize that she had a train to catch, but at that point his hand was sliding between her legs and she was thinking that maybe showing up just fucked to her parents’ house was going to have to work out in her favor. Either that or catch a later train. She wasn’t sure which option she was liking more at the moment, but she was finding that it really didn’t matter.
Either way, she was going to be late.

That was when he pulled her over.
He smirked as she gave in and pushed himself up against her as his fingers worked their magic.

She should have talked to him, but instead she was leaning in to kiss him, roughly and deeply to match how he was being with her.

She wasn't hoping for much, but it'd be nice to know.

She reached for her shirt, before starting to pull it over her head. "Besides, I'll be back for a couple of things for the wedding and stuff, and then the engagement party, so if you want to see me -- it's not like I'm not available."

"I'll find you," he said. He looked up at her through his bangs. "And you'd be surprised what I can do over the phone." And a smirk.

She doesn't know why he was trying to hold on to her so much, but -- she didn't dislike it. Not really.

Eventually, she just closed her eyes and shook her head. "I need to go. I should -- get on the train. It'll be -- " Easier? " -- better." After that came a teasing smirk. "I'll actually make sure that I get there."
